Hey, lets work together in His vineyard.  People who can help should help and people who can go out and evangelize should try to do that.  Let's not condemn each other and pull people down.  There is an old malayalee joke about how malayalee's don't like anyone else doing better even in the field of evangelization.  So please help each other, our goal is to evangelize.  Lets keep the goal in prespective.

That is funny - dont like anyone else doing better in field of evangelsation . very true. every miinistry thinks the other is a waste of time and they are doing the best ministry. And some people dont do anything  but criticise people who do atleast something even if it is not much.

But remember this jealousy came because most of them are doing it for their selfish gain, either for fame or for money. Look at the billions of dollars the so called evangelists are making. This so called evangelization has become a means to brag about themselves or a cunning way to beg money to establish their own business empire in the name of Bible Colleges, hundreds of Churches, Newspapers, Television Channels, etc. Free loan without interest and be rewarded for not paying it back. What a great business concept. How come all these evangelists are becoming rich as soon as they enter into evangelization. It is devilish what we are doing in the name of evangelization. REMEMBER, spreading the Gospel is always done through self sacrifice. WHen you see fame, power, authority and money the basis of these so called evangelizations, please run away from these and save your money from those robbers.

Amen and Amen Bobby. This is what I was talking about so far. These robbery will never end. One thing believers can do it ignore these so called evangelists extending thier empire.

Nobody ever said what is this so called evangelization? Getting more people to become pentecostals or preaching the good news to others?

For the latter, the best way is to share the gospel one at a time. Whomever you meet, if the spirit prompts you to share the gospel, share it. Do not worry about him getting saved. That is God's work. But we have been taught to increase the numbers in our churches so that they can make more money. Share the gospel to people and leave the rest to God. If they ask you for a place to worship, send them to the church that will keep them strong in their faith and teach them the things of God.

I have been hearing this Kashuvandi and Housing and now Channel for a while. Thank God that not all believers put money in these lottery programs. Believers be aware. Satan can come even with pastor's uniform. Please identify RED and WHITE.

its been interesting reading stuff about how to evangelise india...let me make a few points here...

as we all agree, for india to be evangelized, we need the big thing REVIVAL?? whats it?? who should be revived??? what are the signs of revival?? how did it happen in the past?? How many of our churches are ready for a revival?? Will our so called churches and leaders outcast those spiritfilled revival christians as the PAGAN roman catholic church did to Martin luther when he stood up boldly for the truth ??? lets ask questions why we dont have a revival???? lets go to the root causes instead of plucking the leaves.. we just dont need a CHUNNAMBE whitewash.. we need a thorough rebuilding, like Nehemiah did for Israelites.. what i am talking is a revival that is going to shake the whole church and next the world!!!

let pinpoint something.. we have dozens of problems in our church system, to make it short, we have conventions, crusades, seminars, tv channels and all stuff other brothers were talking abt.. but i am sure of one thing, WE DONT HAVE GODs will or presence in most of them.. am  i rite? any arguments???

i believe revival is not an accident, nor comes by pure human effort..i believes it comes from all of us getting confirmed to the LOVE OF CHRIST.. to be short, we become like CHRIST, revival automatically happens..

We have all these dirtiness in the church, and even good christians in the church are kind of suffocated and have lost their responsiveness to worldliness in the church.

I agree with all the dirty stuff, what my fellow brothers mentioned earlier. i would like to add one more dirty stuff we need to throw out of our church...

I ( or the NJAAN enna BAAVAM ) . Its shocking to see casteism taking prominence in malayalee churches in kerala and elsewhere. Syrian christians, Nadar christians, pulaya christians, paraya christians, ... and the whole lot of discrimination, intrigue, sugar coated words and underlying manipulation etc etc... I was a syrian christian by birth, but when i was born again i threw all those stuff into waste basket. As i see those kind of infighting in the church, I know we have given office for devil in our headquarters!!! are we going to fight back??? we need to rise up!!! lets chop away all dirtnes frm our hearts and stop our name sake prayers.. lets fast, cry and weep for oru church?? do we have any tears left for revival, like we cry for our children and our families??? i need to do that and we all need to do that.. tats what i think should happen first for indian revival and the evangelization.. REVIVAL GOES BEFORE EVANGELIZATION...

let me continue abt revival frm wat i read recently. i was reading abt the REVIVAL IN AZUSA STREET..it triggered something which i would like to share here...

it was the atmosphere or environment ( whatever term ) that catched my attention..

HOW DID IT HAPPEN... i am still trying to knw, but i found a few things...

he was a good christian, he was one eyed black man in USA ( think how blacks where treated in US before Lincoln abolished slavery ) , neglected outcasted by the church in those days for his outspoken bold faith in christ..He was usually a meek man with a direct style that was not often stylized or tricked-up. he lived in azusa street which was predominantly a street where poor laborers were living, and revival started in a small room which was before a stable..HUMBLENESS, BROKENESS, LOVE FOR CHRIST AND RESULTING BOLDNESS.. GOD ROSE A PERSON FOR REVIVAL WHICH IS STILL SHAKING THE WORLD...

ON ONE SIDE WE ARE ALLOWING DEVIL TO PLAY HIS TACTICS IN OUR MIDST, AND ON THE OTHER SIDE GOD IS RISING UP VICTORIOUS BOLD MEN, ARE WE READY TO HUMBLE OURSEVLES..GOD IS LOOKING FOR MORE PEOPLE ON THE BATTLE LINE.. REVIVAL WILL HAPPEN IN OUR HEARTS AND WILL START FLOWING AS A DROP, A STREAM , AS A RIVER AND ATLAST IT WILL BREAKOUT LIKE A GUSHING STORM AND CLEAN THE CHURCH AND GIVE GLORY TO GOD IN THIS EARTH..

Agree with Jesus freaks on the fact that we have a lot of things like conventions, crusades etc but we dont have God's presence. This true in our churches too. As in the times of nehemiah, the people should come together , repent, admit before God the sins of self, families and our people. Then we will see a true revival in our midst and in India.

the njan enna bhavam is truly a problem. Jesus said, to follow me, you have to first deny your self. Now, we are so focussed on promoting onself, fame, power etc. the focus has been lost in churches. It is about pleasing people and nothing about pleasing God. When we come for revival meetings, we are all about fake revivals instead of leading people into repentance and submission.

If the body of Christ in India unites, evangelization in India will happen at 10 times today's pace.

I firmly agree with BP.. if we, the body of christ, were united, india would have been evangelized, blessed and would have send out missionaries.. to the rest of the world..i still believe with all of you that India will see a mighty revival ( i recall telling one of my close friends, India will be a christian nation ) Y not?? Our church has its foundations on martyrs, our Rock and salvation Jesus christ came to world to let us know the goodnews and was crucified, 12 apostles went out to the world with the mission and were all killed...i think we have reached a comfort zone were evangelization is like a MNC marketing campaign...sitting back relaxed with our wonderfully planned evangelistic excercises...i am not here to disagree or argue, but i think for our indian situation we need dedicated people to sacrifice and go to the unreached villages, with the power of god, love and the willingness to serve, somebody amoung the lines of William Carey and others.

I recall asking one old pastor in a church, Y dont we have mighty revival and mighty men of God as there was in the western countries?? ( remember christianity came to india in the first century ) he gave me a very thought provoking answer.. he said WE ARE NOT TAT SINCERE AS THOSE WESTERNERS. i asked the pastor wat u mean?? he went on, In the west people are more open and bold, WHEN THEY SAY THEY WANT TO DO SIN, THEY MAKE CENTERS FOR SIN AND MAKE IT PUBLIC, THEY ARE NOT ASHAMED OF IT... & WHEN THEY SAY THEY CONFESS THEIR SINS, AND TURN BACK THEY SELDOM GO BACK..BUT IN OUR CULTURE WE HAVE A FALSE SENSE OF EVERYTHING, FALSE SENSE OF HOLINESS, FALSE WAY OF PRETENDING WE ARE HUMBLE ( remember hw our culture teaches us to forsake worldy things like expensive clothes,worldly things and live a sanyasi kind of life,to be humbles... simple life is good in one way, but tat doesnt mean humbleness ) IN SCRIPTURE, WHEN JESUS TOOK THE FORM OF A SERVANT AND HUMBLED HIMSELF, HE WENT TO THE EXTREME LEVEL OF OBEDIENCE..TO THE CROSS!

the point i am trying to make is, ITS DEEP IN OUR CULTURE TO FAKE EVERYTHING.. WE ARE WELLKNOWN FOR CUNNINGNESS, REASONING AND HUMAN WISDOM TO FAKE REALITY, PRETENDING WE ARE PERFECT, AND GOD IS STILL SILENTLY TELLING US, DONT TRY TO FOOL ME...if we are listening...I THINK IF WE GODS CHILDREN, ALL OF US, BE REAL AND SINCERE, WITH THE REAL FEAR OF GOD, REAL LOVE etc etc..GOD WILL DO HIS PART!!!

let those who play dramas, let them do that, we can all see the dramas replayed when we all stand in front of the white throne.. wat an audience tat would be, billions..starting frm first man..ADAM.. and let us make a point to sacrifice anything so that we would hear the word, MY FAITHFUL SERVANT... on tat day...

 India is going to be a christian country.  Every one  is start saying that India is going to be christian country.  How can it ever be possible. we have 1.2 billion people. somany languages, so many cultures, Lakhs of villages, crores are unheard of Jesus.   Tell me is it possible.

How dare you call this north Indian pastor a fake, you are fake that's why you choose to be anonymous. I know this north Indian pastor and what he says about his ministry credentials are true, even though I may not agree with all his argument. And another statement- 99% pastors are fake-?? what do you mean. some of them may be fake because they are your pastor. their members are fake so he has to be a fake to be the pastor.

Can we evangelize India?

Yes we can and we should. It is the responsiblity of the church in India to Evangelize our Land. Stop critizing and agruing against one another. Most of those contributers have given good suggestions.

But until and unless we come together and unite our hearts irrespective of our organization and denomination feelings to work for the Lord, India will be still un-evangelized.

To start with let's start praying for it, Lord says, Pray for the labors for the harvest.  

There are many movements are starting all over India

like: NPTCI , Vision 2020, Transform world etc.

Be part of this movements and encourage people to pray. instead of building our own kingdom, try to build HIS KINGDOM

Aren't there other projects like Vision 2010, Every Tribe Every man ( or something like that)? How effective are these projects considering it is mostly the same ministries partnering in all these efforts.

I heard "house churches" is becoming the norm in the north india. While I like the concept and see why it is probably the most practical in north india, I wonder if the elders/pastors of these churches are adequately trained to disciple the new believers, especially since these pastors are new to the faith too.

These men of God like KP Yohannan, Valson Abraham, Saji Lukose, Caption Samuel, Bro. Varughese  ete ete   come to United States and collect money from Americans and Indians to evangalise India.  George C kuruvilla said recently 10% of indians are chrisans.   We are confused.   Somebody tell us the truth Is it possible to evangalize India.

Vision 2010 is the changed its name as NPCTI- National Prayer and Church Transformation Initiative. This is a network of churches and missions committed to finishing the task of the great commission.

They Have two approches-

1. People group approch- reaching all the people groups of India. see the website: finishingthetask.com  In India it is known as " Serve a People Network"

2. Geographical Approach-  Start a church-planting initiative in every geographical blocks and Urban colonies of India.

Then about "House Churches" there is nothing new about these- This is a 2000 year old concept. Now it is popular in North India and China. we had it in Kerala too. But now we lost it because we got plenty of money and buildings and paid clergy.  House church is a gathering of Baptized believers for worship and fellowship. Place is not a problem, so is time. They have local leadership, encouraged to have  multiple  leadership.  This is the best  part of  House church- because when persecution comes they can with stand.

As you said, the biggest problem they have is the lack of training- to address this issue, most of the house-church networks already started the training programs for house-church leaders. most of it is on going trainings.
